TWELFTH ANNUAL REPORT 

OF THE TREASURER. 



The Treasurer has the honor to submit the following Report : — 

RECEIPTS OP THE YEAR. 

At the beginning of the present year there was in deposit at the Bank of 

Montreal the sum of $2136 53 

During the year there has been received from Congregational 

Collections the sum of. 1677 88 

The individual contributions of the Ministers during the year 

amount to the sum of 1074 00 

The amount received as Interest in Permanent Investments 

during the year amounts to the sum of. 2007 91 

The Legacy of the late Hon. William Morris amounts to the 

sum of. 400 00 

Forming a total of $7296 32 

EXPENDITURE OP THE YEAR. 

Annuities to Widows, $1900 00 

Invested in two Mortgages, 2800 00 

Charges for Books, Printing, Accountants' Services, Pos- 
tages, &c, 146 45 

Cash deposited in Bank of Montreal, 2449 87 

$7296 32 
The Investments have not been changed since last Report ; two Mort- 
gages have been added : the whole are considered safe.

The number of Widows on the Roll remains the same as last year, 
▼iz. : eighteen. 

Compared with last year there has been an increase in all the sources 
from which the revenue is derived.

The amount of Congregational Collections would have been much 
greater had all the Ministers afforded to their people an opportunity of 
contributing to the Fund, but unfortunately fifteen Ministers have 
disregarded the injunction of Synod and sent in no collections. Their 
names are as follow : —
